Individual & Group Counseling
Individual & Group Counseling sessions are an important part of the recovery process. Clients get the opportunity to explore individual problems in depth during 1x1 counseling sessions, but still have access to the group experience during group sessions. This combination can be invaluable in early recovery, and give clients a wealth of experience and insight.
Assessment & Evaluation
Assessment & Evaluation -Upon admission, each client will be given an assessment and evaluation to determine the course of treatment. This is a fact finding process, where clients and counselor review life history to get a better idea of what the focus during treatment should be.
Individualized Treatment Planning
Individualized treatment planning -Each client will be given a treatment plan that is tailored to their specific needs. Not every client who walks through our doors have the same history, and therefore need to be treated as individuals. Addiction effects every person differently, and our goal is to address each persons needs specifically.
Anger Management
Anger management - drinking and using has created many negative features within our personality. One of those features, anger has created gaps in our relationships with family, loved ones, friends, etc. This group will provide lectures and discussions on what is anger. How we got to the point of being angered, what can we do about it. And provide coping skills and techniques to prevent inappropriate anger from taking over your life.
Relapse Prevention
Relapse prevention group -Identifying relapse triggers and developing coping skills to manage them is essential in preventing relapse. This is a process that must reach each client on an individualized level. Our relapse prevention groups are designed to teach these new skills, and aim at demystifying the relapse process.
Substance Abuse Treatment
Substance Abuse treatment at VIP is comprehensive, keeping excellence, integrity and commitment in mind for our clients. Our goal is to effectively help our clients understand the underlying causes of their substance abuse, and be free from the grips of it.
Family Care & Family Dynamics
Family Care & Family Dynamics are an important aspect of treatment. We encourage and invite those available family members to come and participate in the treatment process. Furthermore, our family education groups are instrumental in helping our clients cope with family issues that arise during the recovery process.
Individual Case Management
Each client will have an individual case manager in charge of their treatment and aftercare planning. This is to ensure the highest quality of treatment, based on the individual needs of our clients.
Coping Skills
Coping skills are a fundemental part of treatment at VIP. Most of our clients walk through our doors with a lack of life skills, and have made drugs or alcohol their primary coping skill. Coping skills are taught to help addicts deal with day to day stressors that might contribute to relapse and other acting out behaviors. Each client is inique, and will need to be assessed durring the treatment process to determine what coping skills are needed.
Domestic Violence
Domestic Violence classes are taught on a regular basis, and VIP is a certified domestic violence educator. The classes are essencial for clients, as addiction and domestic violence go hand in hand. Breaking free from the cycle of violence and learning how to handle relationships better is one focus of treatment at VIP.
Health Education
Health Education classes at VIP are designed to educate clients about proper health and nutrition in recovery. Often times addiction robbs us of our desire to maintain and care for ourselves. Recovery must have balance in all areas of life, and health is certainly no exception.
